It All Began With 10,000 Steps!

For all of you Fitbitters (I have the Fitbit Charge HR so I’m guessing they all do the same) who understands or remembers the first “vibrationmoment of your Fitbit notifying you when it hit that 10,000 step mark…I’m sure you understand that feeling! 

At first I was wondering “What IS that?!” Then I looked down and saw the display flashing I was super excited!! Honestly I would’ve missed that Triumph moment if it wasn’t for my Fitbit because I’ve pretty much little by little grown accustomed to really enjoying hiking like I love it now, and it’s not as if I had time to check my watch as Coldplay, Bob Marley, Sam Smith, Drake, and the others are blasting through through my iPod. 

Gaining friends and achievements through that app has been pretty amazing, but being able to push myself without even realizing I’m pushing myself is the best part!! It’s like you get home and see you’ve burned all those calories and walked those miles like “wow!!” Still a work in progress but as the saying goes “Rome Wasn’t Built In A Day” Changing my diet completely and drinking nothing but water while hiking everyday is what’s probably making the difference for me I think. Now I’ll start a little weight training also to switch things up (never done it before so wish me luck!! Fingers crossed!)
